Good Heart Good Mind Youth Conference
We will be hosting our second youth conference in February 19 - 23 2018
We acknowledge that this conference takes place within the ancestral, traditional and unceded territories of the Katzie & Kwantlen people.
MISSION
Our intention is to provide a space for indigenous youth ages 20-25 living in BC, to come together and talk about the ways they are engaging in activism within their communities. We seek to create a safe place where youth could connect and talk about things like media and filmmaking, build practical skills like public speaking as well as provide a space for more difficult conversations on topics such as racism and colonization.
Participant’s accommodation, travel and certain meals will be covered.
We hope to assemble a group of some the raddest Indigenous youth around to create relationships with each other, and join forces in solidarity with all the work that is happening to decolonize all of the things!
THE SPACE
The Good Heart Good Mind (GHGM) conference will be held at the Loon Lake Lodge, Maple Ridge BC from February 19-23, 2018.
GHGM is a two part conference: a three day program consisting of a variety of leadership and media based workshops.
